Chest scuplting
Inpatient care for 1 night
1-1,5 hours
3-4 weeks
During your initial consultation, Dr. Hubmann will examine you and discuss your options in detail. In certain cases, he may also recommend a testicular ultrasound by a urologist and/or hormone testing by an endocrinologist. Our team will be happy to arrange referrals to the appropriate specialists as needed.
After the excess glandular and fatty tissue have been removed, the skin and underlying tissue layers must be allowed to fully heal. To this end, you should consistently wear the customized compression vest that you will receive after your surgery for 6 weeks. You should also avoid abrupt movements and strain (especially exercise) involving your upper body during this period. After the six-week period, you may resume exercise to better define your chest.
You should plan to recover for 1 week after surgery. The best way to do this is to relax on the couch or take some short walks. Starting in the second postoperative week, you may perform light housework and resume office work. You should absolutely refrain from strenuous physical labor for 4 to 6 weeks.
Some pain can occur in the days following the procedure. However, during your stay with us, Dr. Hubmann will manage your pain and prescribe appropriate pain medication for your recovery at home.
If the gynecomastia is caused by other medical conditions or circumstances, treatment of these conditions or modification of the circumstances may improve the shape of your breasts. However, it is very unlikely that you will be able to correct your enlarged breasts through exercise or diet alone. The surgical methods used by Dr. Hubmann are very gentle and are rarely accompanied by complications.
Glandular tissue of the breast and fat cells that have been removed do not regrow. Despite surgical treatment, however, the human body continues to age and undergo changes that may affect your breasts. For example, significant weight gain would very likely affect your breasts. However, with a balanced diet and regular exercise, you can work to counteract these effects.
